AI Film-making: The Future is Here
The internet is alive with AI slop. But it doesn’t have to be like that.
New tools like Veo3 and Runway allow film makers to create spectacular stories from their desktops.
For the charity sector this can mean re-creating anonymous case studies using either animations or realistic characters.
Animation
AI films aren’t restricted to “realistic” characters. Annimation can be used to tell stories too. Completely animated films may feel more “authentic” than the more realistic example above. They can be ideal for information, education and explainer videos.
Avatars – your flexible friend!
Using AI Avatars is a really cost effective way to deliver training messages or to communicate vlog-style videos. It cuts out the need for filming, needing only a script and, ideally, a human voiceover.
Work with Us
We are looking to work with organisations to apply AI film making to real world scenarios. The technology is already in widespread use in the TV and media production industries, but the voluntary sector has been slow to get involved. Contact us to discuss how we can help you integrate AI film-making and use this technology for good.
Why Us?
Our director, Nick Skinner, has worked with media technology for decades. First as an early adopter and trainer, then Innovation Lead at the BBC.
Now he has embraced AI film making, creating a series of experimental videos. He uses his expertise teaching on the AI and Digital Media Production MA course at Cardiff University.
He’s become skilled in prompting and workarounds – and has also become aware of some of the limitations of AI film-making.
Courses Coming Soon:
We are planning to deliver a series of online courses in 2026 to show creators how to make the best use of AI film making tools.
Designed for beginners, the courses will demonstrate workflows that produce results, prompting techniques that work and, importantly, talk about what you can’t do with AI video.
Contact us now to be added to our mailing list for new courses.
